Democratic Party Emerges Weakened Following Record-Breaking Shutdown Yields Little Results

Following more than six weeks, the lengthiest federal government closure in the nation's history has concluded.

Although the House of Representatives has effectively been on ice for more than a month, GOP members still hope they can enact some meaningful laws before the forthcoming electoral season kicks in.
