David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.

David Walliams

Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about inappropriate behaviour towards women.

The company has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
